Maamturks Challenge Nominated for Outsider Event of the Year!

We need your Help!

In some exciting news, The Maamturks Challenge has been nominated for Outsider‘s Best Outdoor/Adventure Event 2016. We’re thrilled to have been nominated for the award for all the hard work that our committee and volunteers put into delivering the event every year.

We now need your help to try and earn the overall title for the award!

All you need to do visit the Voting page on the Outside Website here:

Scroll down to select the Maamturks Challenge NUIG, and then click submit. If a pop up window appears about Facebook, you may need to enter your details to authenticate your vote. The Outsider website says that the only information stored from your Facebook profile are your name, Facebook ID and email address.

The Maamturks Challenge really is a special event run exclusively by volunteers from our student and alumni members of the NUIG Mountaineering Club and is run on a non-profit basis. We’ve been running this event for a long time – this year will be 42nd Maamturks Challenge – and we have developed a strong relationship with the local community in Connemara and with our participants who travel from far and wide every year to take part in our event.
